Questions

Wrought iron fence FAQs

A wrought iron fence, when properly maintained, can last for several decades, often between 50 to 100 years or even longer. Its longevity is one of the main reasons homeowners choose wrought iron. However, it's essential to regularly inspect the fence for signs of rust or wear and to promptly address these issues. Applying a protective coating or paint every few years can also help prevent rust and prolong the fence's lifespan.

All our wrought iron panels are crafted from galvanized steel and given a powder-coated finish to boost their durability. Instead of welding, we use bolts to assemble our wrought iron panels. This method minimizes potential rusting points that can arise from welds. To further prevent rusting, conduct regular inspections. If rust spots appear, address them promptly using a wire brush or sandpaper, then clean the area and apply a rust-inhibiting primer followed by direct-to-metal paint.

While traditional wrought iron is a relic of the past, most modern "wrought iron" fences are actually made of steel or aluminum, mimicking the classic designs but benefiting from the strength and rust resistance of contemporary materials.

We cater to a variety of budgetary needs, with options spanning from $32 to $45 per foot. Your final cost hinges on factors like fence length, height, and which panel style you select. For a precise quote tailored to your preferences, please complete the form below!
